Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Took car in for tune up, sounded like it was missing. spent $1200, car still sounded poor, dealer said it was catylitic converter pluggae, fixed that for $170, still made noise, dealer investigated siad low compression in cylinder, then found cracked head, fixed that for $900, still sounded bad, dealer investigated, stated that lifter rod failed, cam grinded rod and scored cam, requiring new engine. freind in va has similar incident, said jeep was aware of failure and had a technical bulletin on proper repair. *ak |
