Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The vehicle was repaired at chico auto care located at 724 w. 9th st. in chico , ca. 95928 (530) 894-7165. the mechanics repaired the electrical switch that is connected to the top of the in-tank fuel pump, located on the top of the fuel tank. the mechanics stated that they have been seeing this more frequently on the ford trucks and that i was lucky it did not blow up. when trying to get a replacement part, it was learned that ford has designed a new switch for this part and that is what needed in place of the old part. if this was a faulty switch that was shorting out and burning and ford changed the design, why were the owners not notified. thank you for your time. *ak |
