Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I had just changed my oil in april 2, 2001 and i had driven it about 3,000 miles and i startrd to have problems with the engine. my oil pressure guage never gave me any warnings that i was low on oil. all of a sudden i was driving it to work and there was this terrible noise, i found out that there was no oil in it except for about 1/4 quart. iwas in shock because i have always took care of my cars. i have a 1982 toyota truck with 148,000 miles on it and it is still running. i feel there was a default in the mechanism somewhere. the mechanic said the oil was going thru the engine and evaporating thru the exhaust. that is why i showed no leaks in my driveway for the loss of oil. could you please help me with my situation? should i contact toyota ? thank you.*ak |
