| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tires are original to truck. on date of incident, i stepped from the truck, and while waiting for person glanced at left front tire and notice something wrong with tread. i check with fingers to probe and found 4 inch separation 2 inches in from outside edge of tread. separation was in first tread channel at edge of raised and recessed point. the steel belt was visible. i caught the defect prior to further damage. i notified dealer and instructed to drive to named tire facility. dealer refuses to make good as said that steeltex a/t tires not on ford/firestone recall list. i advised dealer and in fact replaced all five tires on vehicle. i am in process of filing a written complaint with dealer, ford, and firestone.*ak (dot number: vnw81xl419 tiresize: lt26575r16). *slc |
