Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Prior to 1st incident, noticed spongy non-responsive brakes at all speeds. as the problem progressed, the brake pedal would go down to the floor and brake distance increased. on 3 occurrences, i experienced near collisions. i first noticed the problem on june 29th, 2001. second incident occurred without notice as i was pulling out of a parking lot at approx 8 miles/hr. first, i heard a sound as i was slowing down to approach the signal. then, the abs went off for approx. 5 to 10 seconds and during that time, i was not able to stop. i proceeded to turn right at the red signal with no other option available to me at the time. from there, i took the vehicle to suburban honda where i originally bought and serviced my honda passport. please note that the abs indicator light came on the night before the 2nd incident.*ak
