Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Took my vehicle to the local dealer to repair the passenger-side passive motorized seat belt assembly. dealer repaired under warranty, but refused to replace the defective seat belt buckle that connects to the assembly. requested $330 for repair. since system is not fully operative with defective buckle, believe this is an attempt to circumvent the vehicle safety regulations. it violates the spirit, if not the letter, of the safety regulations. am concerned that inoperative buckle could be a serious safety hazard in event of crash, as it would make exit from vehicle difficult. mfg. should replace faulty buckle as part of lifetime warranty on restraint system. |
