| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Oil pump on early kawasaki nomads were made of plastic. there have been several posts on the internet about failures of this gear. i was told by my dealer that kawasaki motor corp. usa had sent a notice to dealers that they were to repair any failures of this gear, regardless of warranty or milage. since kawasaki knew of this problem and did not notify owners, i was stranded 500 miles from home. this in my opinion is unacceptable. an oil pump failure could have catastrophic consequences, should the engine lock up at 75 mph.*ak |
