| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Transfer case seal failed allowing lubrication to leak out -- there is no fluid level warning light. transfer case then failed causing irrepairable damage to transmission shaft that inputs to transfer case. mitsubishi does not supply just the transmission shaft -- they require the purchase of an entire new transmission (plus a transfer case). total cost for parts alone is aproximately $4,900. this is a well documented problem with 3000gt's. since the problem occurred after warranty expiration, mitsubishi has refused to offer compensation.*ak |
