Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: This car has burned several quarts of oil since i've owned it. it burns approximately 1 to 1 1/2 quarts every one thousand miles. the dealership said the 2001 corvettes all have this problem because of bad piston rings. they siad some cars consume as much as 3 quarts of oil per 1000 miles. the amount of oil burned is relative to how hard the car is driven. there are know replacement parts available at this time. i think the whole engine shopuld be replaced along with the oil soaked catalitic converter and mufflers.*ak
