| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2 tires had tread separation from casings at 60 mph . each occurrence were 2 months apart . each tire was mounted at a different location on the vehicle, 1 was on the left front, 1 was on the right rear. tires each had approx. 11/32nds of tread left. tires never had any flats or repairs and were maintained according to mfg. specs. at time of tread seperation both tires never lost a pound of air pressure. no excessive weight was being carried in the truck, only about 200 pounds. tires were inspected and air pressure checked about 2 hours or 120 miles before seperation, no problems were found at that time. no warning of any type, handling, steering, ride, or noise, was present prior to the moment of tread seperation in either case. *ak (dot number: ao11doa225 tiresize: lt24575r16) |
