| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: First failure 09/2000 - 41450 miles. second failure 09/2001 - 62444 miles. both failures involved the same electrical wire on both pumps. first pump showed signs of arcing. second pump, wire was melted. i have both pumps if inspection is desired. the pump is located in the fuel tank which is a definite safety factor to me. the second repair was completed 10/02/2001, however, no explanation of what caused the wire to arc/melt.*ak |
