| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was traveling eastbound on i-10 @ monroe st. in indio, california at approximately 65 mph. i felt the truck start to shake and vibrate, immediately started slowing down. i looked in my mirror and saw the tread come off . within 1 - 2 seconds, i heard a loud explosion when the tire blew up. as all this was happening, i was pulling off the road and stopping. when i did get stopped, i had traveled approximately 1/8 of a mile. looking back at the tire tread, i observed another vehicle striking the tire tread and knocking the tread into the center divider and unfortunately, felt it far too unsafe to try to cross two or three lanes of heavy traffic to retrieve the tread*ak.
