Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On 1 oct 2001 jessica took car to liberty toyota for grinding noise. advised brakes were so bad she could not drive away and brakes, front and rear replaced. less than one month later we receive ssc -10l - 2000 my echo brake booster safety recall notice that brake booster and front brake pads will be replaced at no cost to client. when we asked about reimbursement for brakes installed on 2 oct 01 advised to call toyota usa.. call to toyota usa on 12 nov opened case #200111120298 who said that toyota would not reimburse previous bill for brakes. as a 3-car toyota family i find this to be unfair since we had no choice to replace brakes due to current situation and did question why this was occuring. brakes previously replaced with new and now again at 28,878 miles. garage looked at other toyota echos in the local area. this is the only one currently being maintained in local area. feel toyota usa owes jessica full reimbursement for brakes replaced on two seperate occassions as defect is now substantiated with recall and identified as related to motor vehicle safety. |
