| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Driver side door hinge weld failed in 1998 at approximately 85,000 miles. repair made under extended warranty previously purchased from dealership. passanger door failure estimated to have occured approximately 9 months ago, but due to limited use of passanger side door, failure of weld went unnoticed. this is not a wear related failure, but essentially a defective weld joint between the hinge and body. chysler has refused to pay for repairs, although the car was covered under an extended warranty of 7 years. technically, the car is 7 months out of its extended warranty, and driver door had the identically same failure.*ak |
