Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Sliding side door falls off of 1995 plymouth voyager mini van at elementary school in mass. while students are getting on board, fortunatly no one is hurt thanks to the quick reflexes of driver who catches door before it hits the ground!this actually happened to me on 11-28-01 while i was picking up my son at elementary school. the defective part is part#04673202.(one of the outer races on the roller bearing was defective causing the hinge of the door to fly off the roller bearing track). cost of part is $72.00. labor to install part is 1-1/2 hours @$65/hour. i am asking chrysler to help me with the repair of this safety defect. i am recently unemployed due to the after effects of the september 11 tragedy in new york and can not afford to pay for the repair at this time. can you help? i know that the last thing daemler chrysler wants is more negative publicity due to defective doors on their mini vans. i will probably buy the part myself and attempt to install it. does any on know how?*ak
