| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was told the car was safety inspected how could it pass with 2 front bald tires/alignment. i am disabled i needed a car to get to dr. ,pharmacy, bank ,ect i saw a ad in the newspaper that this rent/lease lin was havin a liquidation sale on used cars so i called about a specific one pictured in the paper, it was rented out for the weekend so when it came in a worker picked me up i test drove it back and decided i wanted it i put down a $210 deposit to hold till next day,in the mourning [xxx] called me to say they sold the car that it was their policy if someone else has the full down they have sale it, but not to worry cause he had another identical except for color, i wanted to test drive he said i'd have to wait till the next day because the car was being serviced oil change + safety inspected. as all their car must be done before releasing, the next day he called me back saying that car vin#[xxx] had been in a accident during transport of service , but not to worry he had another one identical with less mileage. all along i thought i was purchasing a car at 7% cost 5999 + 503 down i get in the mail contract where he had filled in spaces my friend looked it over she said this is not a purchase it's a lease and pointed out things to me like extra charged, fees ect. i took the car to sears to have them look at frnt tires cause someone told me they look low , the worker at sears said the 2 frnt tires are bald, rght fornt has a gouge that it was because of alignment was needed as well as the 2 frt tires he said i could have a blowout at anytime. i called [xxx]. up they said he went home early after giving my name so i left him a voice mail requesting all service+maintenance records and asked how could it had pass safety with tires like that and that i doubted they even change the oil. he called me yelling. *ak information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr |
