Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: We rear-ended the car infront of us because the anti-lock brake system engaged when there was no reason to do so. we were stopped at an intersection on a hot, clear day, when the light turned green and the car infront of us moved into the intersection, turning left, stopping to let oncoming traffic pass. i was prepared to slow down and stop to allow the traffic to pass. as i applied pressure to the brakes, we heard a noise come from the engine compartment, and proceded to rear end the vehicle infront of us. unfortunately, i only carried liability coverage on the truck, so i was facing having a non-operable vehicle or a $3,500 bill to fix the damage to the front of the truck. we made several claims to honda of america, which were processed, but in the end, the stated that they would assume no liability (must have stepped on the accelorator i was told). i am setting up an email account to pool our resources, information, stories and results together. please email me if you would like to see my letters to and from honda of america at passport_brakes@yahoo.com. i would like to hear how other people have dealt with this issue. *ak
