Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The motorcycle slips out of fourth gear and into neutral at highway speeds. the problem is worse when there is a passenger or in hilly or mountain terrain. fourth gear is almost unusable in those conditions. the safety concern is two fold. if attempting to pass on a highway in fourth gear it will slip out and leave you with no acceleration with oncoming traffic approaching. fourth gear is practially useless on hills with a paggenger therefore loosing the ability to climb steep grades safely. this problem has occured with this vehicle on too many occasions to count. one situation was under the "passing circumstance" and many in the steep grade situations.
