| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I received a recall notice from chevrolet approx 3 weeks after my daughter's accident. they have performed testing, but said the tests are inconclusive and deny responsibility. the 4-wd test indicated no prob. but the veh. was not in 4wd at the time of the accident. good weather and road conditions, skip marks indicate to me that the abs did in fact failed or malfunctioned. product liability person is very difficult to contact, but finally got back with me and told me to have the damages repaired, then they will do the recall work on the brakes. if there is no problem with the brakes, then why would they do the recall work? i feel we are being deceived and need help resolving this with chevrolet. the recall notice clearly states there is a problem and it may result in longer stopping distances and possibly a vehicle crash. it sure did. i thank god that my daughter was not seriously injured or killed because of their delay in getting a recall notice out on a 1992 vehicle!!!*ak |
