Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The battery leaked acid out all over the swingarm, shock, footpeg, and chain. the listed components are ruined. a dangerous situation exists in that the chain is damaged by the acid and may break while in operation. i contacted yamaha and was not treated well at all. they said it was my fault because i let the battery discharge. however, they have since redesigned the battery. i have heard of many people that have had this problem fixed by yamaha. there is clearly a safety issue here. nlm |
