| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving uphill at 45 mph consumer moved to left lane to pass a vehicle, vehicle was a bit slow passing, so consumer floored gas pedal, but nothing happened. suddenly vehicle started accelerating, consumer tried to brake, but brake pedal did not move. vehicle reached 60-65 mph, consumer was able to pull into dirt road on side of road, used emergency brake and tuned off ignition. dealer found throttle cable had snapped, was frayed on both sides. nissan admitted cable was installed incorrectly at factory. *ak consumer states there was a kink in throttle cable from the factory. *jb |
