| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While traveling approximately 62 mph in a 1995, dodge, truck ram , and pulling a 27' trailer and boat, right/front firestone, steeltex r4s tire , size: p215/85r16, dot: unknown experienced a blowout in sidewall. blowout resulted in a crash which hospitalized consumers wife for 4 weeks, where back surgery was performed to repair spinal damage. no determination has been made as to the cause of blowout. tire was available for inspection. there were approximately 20,000 miles on tire when this occurred, and the tire was not original equipment for vehicle. *ak *jb |
