Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: On may 28, 2004, the engine in my 2001 chrysler concorde failed while driving home from work. the car was towed to the deal (reedman auto world, langhorne, pa). we were told it would be $7,600. to replace the engine. we have 37, 500 miles on the car - 1,500 beyond the warranty, therefore neither reedman or chrysler would honor the warranty. in conducting research on the defective engine i have learned that the steering rack and pinion is also defective on this model. the steering may fail causing the car to veer into oncoming traffic. this car is a death trap. i will not place me or my family into this death trap. unfortunately we still have $8,600. and 2 1/2 years left on the loan. i am in a real dilema. the car has been towed to a service station where the owner will put a rebuilt engine that has corrected the defect for $2,000 less than reedman's.*ak
