Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Speedometer does not work in the very cold, sometimes your driving for up to 20 minutes with no speedometer. its been to the dealer at least 4 times. once the temperature goes up the speedometer works. they've replaced a sensor, a cable, and the last time they put a new speedometer in. when it's cold the new one does not work either. we left it with them for 4 days, but because the temperature was above freezing they couldn't see it not working so they could not fix it. my daughter goes to school in philadelphia(she drives it) so it works less when she's home in vernon, nj. has anyone else had any complaints about a similar problem. there's colder states then new jersey. hyundai doesn't seem to have a clue. there was not a specific incident date, it began not working in the winter of 2002 when it had just about 10,000 miles on it. *ak |
