Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Potential for fatal accidents. the 2001 chev. 1500 silverado i drive has poor brakes to the extent that the brake pedal can be depress to a point below the level of the accelerator pedal. several times when backing and looking out the back window i have applied the brakes and hit the accellerator pedal at the same time. this causes the asb system to acctivate. when taken to the dealer they tell me that the brake pedel travel is no greater than any other vehilce of the same make and model. two of my sons drive the chev suburuban and complain of poor brakes as well.
