Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: the consumer stated he was having problems with his 1997 safari sahara motor home windows on the driver s side compartment, and the entrance door. there was a problem with window in the bedroom. these were double panels, and the gaskets separated. according to an auto repair shop, the gaskets were not made with the right materials. there was nothing wrong with the window itself, just the gaskets. the owner contacted safari and ge-ce window company. the only fix for the windows was to replace them, and the cost would be $200.00 per window. the owner was going to have the windows fixed soon because it was getting very hard to see out of them. this has been a problem for about 3 years. the problem was noticed when the vehicle was parked. the owner realized that there was a problem when he drove the motor home recently and had a hard time seeing out of the windows. the vehicle was parked, and the owner was using the motor home as his house. manufacturer said that there was nothing they could do but sell him new windows. the consumer wanted to file a complaint. consumer felt there was nothing he did to make the window fail and should not have to pay for the repairs.*ak *jb
