Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: On my 2000 s-type 4.0 i have had two transmissions replaced and is in need of a third. jaguar's position (from corporate), that it is not unusual for a transmission to go under 50,000 miles, however, they refuse to put it in writing. there are probably hundreds if not thousands of owners going through the same problem. on every website there are complaints about failing transmissions. jaguar definitely is aware of the problem but offers no assistance. i am willing to bet there is some corporate memo regarding how to cover this up. *nm
