Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Apparant head gasket failure at only 74,000 miles. after reading other complaints, i realize that this is a common problem. vehicle is past extended warranty in time, but not in milage. i am currently waiting for the dealership to give an estimate on the damage. i have contacted ford and am waiting to hear from them. we did recieve a letter regarding this problem in may of 2000, but because it was not a recall, we could not have it fixed unless it malfunctioned. i have been a loyal ford customer, however a problem like this certainly upsets even the most loyal customer. i hope that ford will realize that this problem should not be limited to years or mileage because it is an engineering problem. thank you. *ak |
