Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Horrible odor emitted thru ventilation system. don't know if associated but my family has been ill with alot of respiratory problems, walking pneumonia (2out of 4) in same week , and my 5yr old has been plagued by violent vomiting. i took yukon to martin gmc said odor was probably caused by either mold/fungus in the evaporator & coils. the smell is very strong and nauseating . there have been several technical service bulletins thru gmc on this problem. i am worried about my families health since i have chronic asthma and my children have allergies. the dealer is going to put a coating of chemicals on the evaporator coils that will (kill?) mold and funus, then they will install an electonic evaporator dryer. i hope this is going to rectify the situation and not be just a temporary fix because mold is very hard to erradicate if you do not get to the source of the problem. i am upset that a new car can have this problem and i've read on the internet that this is not an isolated case. do you know of any health risks due to this? the smell is awful and strong even with the a/c off. please let me know of any other possible remedies to this problem. you can email me @ writefelix@yahoo.com .*ak
