Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 4 of 6 fuel injectors leak from under plastic top of injector near the electrical connection. fuel leaks and pools on top of the engine. injectors seal and stop leaking as engine warms up. injectors do not leak if the outside air temperature is not below 50 degrees f. i talked with kenai chrysler, our local dealer, and was told that there is no recall on the injectors. i also talked to a local shop in homer, ak, sunny service. the owner, j. j. carroll, has seen this problem several times. i believe this could lead to a fire in the engine compartment. after the car warms up the fuel eventually evaporates from the heat of the engine, but there is a strong gasoline odor in and around the car.
