Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The radio component overheats to the extent that cassettes and cds are hot - not warm- to the touch. other buttons on the dash are hot to touch. dealer iinstalled a fan behind the radio to cool it down, but this did not solve the problem..it only redistributed the heat. climate control buttons are still hot to touch. ford says this is "normal" and this is their solution. seems like they only tried to take care of symptom, not solve a problem. also, because fan is silent, we won't know if fan malfunctions until it's too late. something's liable to melt.*ak |
