Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Coffee spilled out of a cup in the cup holder (original equipment) and approximately 3 tablespoons of coffee fell on the shift console. the car would not shift, then after the car was turned off, it wouldn't start again. the car had to be towed to the dealership. mercedes says this is a know problem and will replace the shift mechanism once, after that it is my problem. my concern is what happens if the car is running in traffic and this same thing happens? all i really want is a work around solution and all cars retrofitted when serviced. *ak |
