Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Chrysler file no. 10175031. this also relates to nhtsa campaign no. 94v106000. this is the second time the fuel tank gasket cracked or broke causing fuel and fuel vapor leaks which is most probably related to the fuel tank lining separation which chrysler "just discovered" on my vehicle. chrysler has rejected my claim to replace at no charge the fuel tank in which the lining has separated. however, this is not a moving part and is a very dangerous defect in design, manufacturing, or assembly. i also request a copy of chrysler's file(s) in these complaints. i also request a copy of all technical and service bulletins relating to these complaints and the gas tank and fuel system. chrysler is advised that i will not be spending over $600 to replace this fuel tank and any and all resulting damages will be squarely chrysler's liablity. there is premature rust and resulting structrual failure caused by chrysler saving money by not applying a clear coat top coat over the paint on this vehicle. the outside mirrors fold in at interstate speeds and cannot be tightened. |
