| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2001 tribute had a problem shifting in/out of overdrive - a shuddering as if it couldn't make up it's mind. 2 calls to mazda and 2 calls to dealer gave same results - "what problem" but web sites say it is common. dealer claims failure to change xmsn fluid at 22500 may have caused it; problem happened way before that (summer 2002) and now (feb 04) conditions worse - won't shift. won't accelerate. dealer changed fluid, reprogrammed pcm; said it was fixed, but it is still the same. i think they are waiting for warranty to expire. car is unsafe to drive, but i have to take it back. this trend seems like a "lemon-law" case and a lot of us need help, like a mazda recall.*ak |
