Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 twin turbo. i had to replace the 18 spline output shaft in the transmission. in 1993 (2 years after production), mitsubishi realized that they made a flaw in the output shafts and went ot the 24 spline. i know of very many people that have had to pay "out of pocket" for this design flaw. many have to replace it with another 18 spline due to the fact that the 24 spline conversion requires a whole new transmission casing ($$). is there anything that nhtsa could do to help us with this?*ak
