| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Due to the accelerator pedal sticking, it has been necessary to clean the throttle body on two occasions. i consider this problem a safety issue as the vehicle lurches forward when sufficient pressure is applied to the petal that will override the stuck throttle. the forward lunge will become acute if cleaning is delayed. i experienced the problem almost immediately after the 36 month warranty period had expired (i now understand that the warranty period was extended but without any notice to the vehicle owners).*ak my disappointment in nissan is: 1.no notice was received to alert owners of a safety issue of this magnitude. 2.that no recall notice was received to correct the problem and 3.that no notice was received to advise owners that the warranty period had been extended and to bring their vehicle in for a throttle body inspection. |
