| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: By taking care of my car, ie. washing and waxing it, i ended up keeping a known factory defect from occuring untill after their three year warranty. then 70% of the paint pealed off the roof and trunk of my car when i washed it one day. i was told by the dealer that the manufacturer knew about it but was never forced to issue a recall or notify customers. when the manufacture was contacted they said that it was out of warenty but out of the goodness of their heart they would pay $285.00 toward having it repainted at a dodge dealerbwho would charge me $2,800.00 because the problem is with the electro primer and the car would need to be stripped to the bare metal and reprimed. |
