Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The brake and fuel lines on my toyota pick up (vin t4vno1d9n2o12572) have been suffering from an acclerated rate of corrosion (far beyond any other underbody component including the sheet metal) and have been leaking and failing for the past two years. these lines appear to be acting as a sacrificial anode for an electrically induced corrosion compared to environmental factors such as rain snow and salt. while my vehicle is old the singularity of the corrosion of the brake and fuel lines compared to the other parts of the thruck indicates this is not merely an age issue. the consequences of the failures of these lines are spilled gasoline & fire and loss of brakes/inability to stop the vehicle. i have had most of the fuel lines replaced and am now looking for the garage/repair shop to have it towed to have the rest of the fuel and brake lines replaced. i have kept some of the old fuel line pieces and intend to keep some or all of the old brake lines when they are removed. *ak |
