Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: In july 2001, we purchased a 2001 chevrolet silverado (oklahoma package) from lawrence marshall chevrolet. in may 2002, at approximately 20,000 miles, the air conditioner compressor shorted out the distributor cap which stopped the engine from turning over. lawrence marshall fixed it under factory warranty at that time and considered it completely fixed. in may 2003, at approximately 40,000 miles, the same condition was fixed by lawrence marshall and because they considered it a factory defect, they fixed it for nothing. now the same thing has happened at 60,000 miles on the same vehicle. when you turn on the air conditioner, the engine dies, but only when the air conditioner is run for a while. this vehicle is driven by my son, and i don't want him to get stranded in the middle of no where with the truck not starting. the first time this happened, it had gotten so bad that the salesman from lawrence marshall had to have the truck towed from in front of new sales to the service department at his establishment. the second time it happened, we had to have it towed from a friends house to the dealership. now it has started happening again. please do something to rectify the situation.*ak
