Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My main complaint is about my trans. i have a 2000 monte carlo the overdrive does not work so i take it to gm they said i had a code stored on my computer and that the problem was a control or pressure regulator. they made the repair, called me and said well we have good news, the code is now gone but your overdrive still does not work .they were willing to negotiate a possible share the cost or they may cover the whole cost depending upon what they found ,yea right i had already spent 500 +, i said no and called gm's customer service .no help there. this problem was detected slightly after my warranty i feel that if a code is listed on the cars computer somehow the driver should be aware of it. i was probably driving with a defective part and not knowing it,causing major damage for who knows how long. the reason i am writing is because i check from time to time hoping to find a recall but every time i check all i find is more complaints on gm's 4t65e in a lot of other cars as well. i also have some of the other problems i see other people complaining about such as front brake and or caliper problems rattling and wearing out prematurely, heater core problems ,they put stop leak in my oil and antifreeze without telling me ,they did give me a ticket on that, about a week or two later they sent me a letter stating they if i paid to have any leaks repaired i may be untitled to refund and yes i now have an oil leak. if this letter can't help me out maybe it can help someone else out. i feel there are plenty of other people you probably have not heard from .than you. *jb |
