| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The first time the wind noise became such an issue is when the car had only a few thousand miles on it and i was driving on an interstate with a stiff cross wind. the noise was so loud that when i tried to use the onstar to call the dealer and have him listen to the noise, the onstar kept saying slower please, slower please even though i wasnt yet speaking. it was the wind the onstar was listening to. i have visited the dealer in moorehead several times and the gmc place in minot to try to stop the noise and the have reduced the wind noise but i still get an unacceptable level of noise. i have to take a vacation day to take the vehicle into the dealer 90 miles away and then even tho i know they are trying, they just seem to move the noise around. a car that windows for almost 40k should be at least as quiet as my daughter 6 year old neon. wouldn't you say? i believe that this vehicle will never be quiet unless you are traveling less than 30 mph down the road and with the wind. i have visited the dealer ship at least 4 times for this specific problem and they have replaced windo seals and liners as well as bending the doors but i am not satisfied. they say i am an isolated complaint but in the small town i live in there is only one other 2003 envoy and the owner says her noise is even worse. after 2 1/2 years and 18000 miles how much more should i have to endure?*ak |
