| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1. performing many normal maintenance procedures on this motorcycle requires pivoting the gas tank upwards. a plastic fuel quick disconnect appears to be stressed during this procedure when the fuel line is pulled taught.*ak 2. the plastic fuel quick disconnect cracked and gas leaked onto the engine and the gas tank emptied itself since i had no way to shut off the flow of fuel from the tank once the fuel quick disconnect cracked. 3. the plastic fuel quick disconnect was replaced with an identicle one by an aprilia dealership on 5 december 2003. the second time the fuel quick disconnect cracked, on 24 january 2005, i replaced the plastic connector with a metal, aftermarket one. |
