| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I brought my truck to my dealer because the parking brake would not hold. i had 30,000 miles on the truck and had owned it for 25 months. the dealer gave me a receipt showing they had adjusted the brake and replaced the calipers & rotors. 12 months later i tested the parking brake and it would not hold. i called the dealer and was informed that they made a mistake on my receipt - they never replaced any parts, they only cleaned the parking brake. i found out there was a technical service bulletin in place (02-05-26-001) when i originally brought the truck in under warranty but the dealership did not repair my truck according to the tsb. there is also an open nhtsa investigation (ea04011) on this matter. i think the dealer should fix the problem at their cost. *ak |
