Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt: 2001 oldsmobile alero. the consumer stated the security light kept coming on and the vehicle eventually shut down due to this. the vehicle has been to the dealership five times. the dealership replaced the ignition switch housing. this could go on between one to six months before the problem happened again. the customer service line at oldsmobile continuously told the consumer they were looking into the problem. she has contacted the manufacturer three times. the problem started on november 14, 2003. the past two times this has occurred the security light came on while driving. the owner's manual stated at that a t this point the consumer should pull over and restart the vehicle or it will shut down while driving.*ak
