Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: For the last two years i have had to unplug my abs brakes system ,because it would continuously run. if i did not unplug my battery would die. this past christmas 2004, i lost my back end coming down hill and luckily recovered. i have contacted gmc and are still waiting for an answer. my question is "if your dr put your pace maker on the outside of your body and it failed due to corrosive exposure would you have a case. the abs module sits exposed to corrosive elements in the salt belt under the drivers seatoutside of the vehicle. i have just had this problem diagnosed , and the dealer states the module and connector is so corroded furthur diagnostics cannot be performed. this manufactured defect should not be a problem passed on to consumers; unless gmc states"if you live in the salt belt do not purchase this vehicle". from 99 till now this should not and would not happen if they just put the module under the driver seat inside the vehicle. this problem will cost 1088.64 to fix. i want to see if gmc is willing to make good!!!
