| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the contact owns a 1999 chevrolet tahoe. when pressing the brakes at low speeds the vehicle will not stop, it will go on for a couple of feet until it stops. the dealer gave the contact an estimate of $4000 to replace brakes. this began to occur at 37,000 miles after the warranty expired. the contact has been having this problem for almost two years, and has 56,000 miles on the vehicle now. he feels that this is a manufacturer defect, and he does not want to replace it at his expense. he is filing this complaint in reference to the nhtsa recall campaign 05v379000. *ak (11/09/05) there were times where the vehicle would almost rear-end another vehicle in front of his. *sc |
