Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Unwanted abs activation at slow speed on my 1999 chevrolet suburban. this is exactly what is decribed in nhtsa campaign id number : 05v379000 (gm #05068) on 2000 model year suburbans. i called chevy and asked if they would fix my 1999 and they refused, i took it to the dealer and paid to have the exact same procedure done on my car as described in the recall for newer models. this is a definite safety issue as stopping is almost impossible when this happens. my concern is twofold, 1. why isn't there a recall on any model that this happens to and 2. even with the "cleaning" that they did, this problem will resurface again on my vehicle since it is due to corrosion so i will be in danger in the future. *nm |
