Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Clockspring assembly replaced. the consumer received a recall notice in the mail regarding the clock spring and if the vehicle had less than 70,000 miles it would be replaced even if it appeared to be functioning properly. at the completion of the work, the mechanic said it was ok and they did not replace it. the consumer contacted the assistance center and they told the consumer the clock spring should have been replaced no matter what, but carlson still refused to replace it. *jb nar 01/07/2003
