| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Consumer states that while driving at any speed and without warning the vehicle will shut off causing consumer to pull over. dealer notified. *mr the dealer could not diagnose the problem. on one occasion it had taken three hours to drive five miles. the consumer was given an expert opinion and was told it was told that it was the catalytic converter which was replaced but later cut off four more times. the second expert opinion was that the problem was the fuel pump but it was in working order. the engine light had come on and read faulty crank positioning sensor which was also replaced. the vehicle cut off again within a month, in fact the vehicle continued to shut off. another expert stated that he was sure the fuel pump was the problem which was replaced. each incident happened the same way; 1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas. the consumer requested a trade, recall, and or a proper fix. *scc 10/17/03 - consumer states the dealer had the vehicle for eight months and still have not found a remedy. |
