Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I am very concerned about the limiting of the alcohol levels that we see occuring in many states. the statistics used by the nhtsa are flawed. when an accident is considered alcohol related, the driver causing the accident does not have to be the one impaired. when looking at last years statistics, they are higher because they were for one day. the three previous years had the advantage of having three days to average out. the numbers from the last ten years have been relatively flat with a up or down of 10 percent. also, when accidents are involved, it isn't the .008 level people that are involved, it is more often the .025 people. i agree that truly impaired people should be put in jail. but removing the freedoms from people who have one drink an hour is ludicrous!*ak
